This notification outlines the rules and regulations for the School Teacher Internship Program (STIP) 2024.
The purpose of this program is to provide aspiring teachers with an opportunity to gain teaching experience. Under this program, School Teacher Interns (STIs) will be placed in various primary, elementary, high, and higher secondary schools across Punjab.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Candidates must hold an M.A./M.Sc./BS (Hons) degree in the relevant subject.
2. Age limit is between 21 to 45 years.
3. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience.
4. Minimum qualification required is B.A./B.Sc. or above.
Local Recruitment:
Candidates must apply within their Union Council's jurisdiction. If local candidates are unavailable, candidates from nearby Union Councils will be considered.
Selection Process:
1. School principals will evaluate the need for STIs.
2. Candidates will apply online, and their educational documents will be verified.
3. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
4. The list of successful candidates will be displayed on the portal and school notice boards.
5. School principals will issue appointment letters to selected candidates within three days.
Discipline Regulations:
1. Candidates must adhere to school discipline.
2. Misconduct, absenteeism, or any fraudulent activity may lead to termination.
3. Performance and attendance of selected candidates will be monitored regularly.
Stipend and Duration:
1. The monthly stipend for primary level is Rs. 38,000.
2. For elementary level, Rs. 40,000; and for high/higher secondary level, Rs. 45,000.
3. The internship duration is nine months, excluding summer vacations.
4. The stipend will be paid throughout the program duration.
Contract Terms:
1. The internship contract is non-transferable.
2. Teachers must focus fully on student education.
3. Providing fake documents will nullify the appointment.
4. STIs must not violate the terms of the contract under any circumstances.

2. Lesson planning and delivery
3. Student progress and outcomes
4. Contribution to academic and extracurricular school activities
